Blindman's Rage
( It takes the Light to make us see
how blind Humanity can be )
& from the muds we made our clay
and knew it beautiful as Day
( When we within The Darkness were
blindness could not occur )
but seeing Life's beams glowing bright
out of our Night we brought it Sight
yet most of us looked in too close
and long, and blindness rose
till: when we'd understood before
we now've but Beauty to adore
& call it Wisdom's Way to touch
the dead impressions of The Hush
& call it beautiful to feel
the contours of the muted peel
while round us whole fruits ripe & fall
till Winter kills our grasp of All
